"Together with Pitter's investor and partner, who operates a charter boat within our system, we agreed to install and test the Oceanvolt system in a real-world charter environment. Our primary objective was to immerse ourselves in the process of designing and implementing the system, gain first-hand knowledge of its functionality, and position ourselves as pioneers by becoming the first charter company to feature such a state-of-the-art vessel.
This project reflects our commitment to embracing innovation and delivering unique experiences to our clients. In close collaboration with the Oceanvolt team, our electricians and technicians executed the project with exceptional professionalism. The process presented challenges, particularly in dismantling the existing diesel engine and installing the electric motor. However, our team rose to the occasion, overcoming obstacles and successfully commissioning the vessel. The boat is now fully operational in our charter fleet, showcasing the capabilities of the Oceanvolt system.
The check-in process for this boat has been slightly adapted to accommodate the new system, which offers charter clients a distinct and environmentally friendly sailing experience. We ensured that detailed operating instructions were available onboard to simplify the client’s interaction with the electric propulsion system.
