Antares 44i – Sailing Linnaea
"Sailing in Maine is adventurous. The winds shift around the islands, a 3+m tidal swing constrains the timing of passages, fog often obscures visibility, and there are lobster buoys everywhere. Our new Oceanvolt system provided clean, quiet auxiliary power exactly when we needed it, allowing our family to explore in peace and comfort. Converting to electric drive was no small undertaking, but Oceanvolt offered generous support and helped make our dream a reality!" – Owners of Sailing Linnaea
In addition to having two 10kW electric shaft drive motors, this boat is also powered by two racks of 56 (112 in total) used Nissan Leaf lithium-ion modules, 20kWh+. See the full conversion of the Antares 44i to electric on Instagram at @sailinglinnaea & on Youtube
