NEO 430 Roma
“Team Coconut is advancing sustainability through the sport of sailing. We have worked with Oceanvolt and Neo Yachts to build an electric, high-performance sailboat which harvests power in multiple ways from the sun and wind. Coconut is all-electric from the 15 kW ServoProp from Oceanvolt to the electric lifting keel and the induction range in the galley.” – Ken M, owner of the NEO 430 Roma
The Neo 430#7 (NEO Yachts first full electric S/Y ) with a telescopic electric keel launched a few weeks back. The batteries can be recharged with the propeller when sailing, by 0.8 kW of fixed solar panels and by a removable 2 kW solar tend! After 3 weeks of sailing tests she will be shipped to Florida. Thanks to her technology she will be able to sail in shallow water and enter protected areas.
