The European Yacht of the Year 2021 nominated sailing yacht Pegasus 50 is produced by the Slovenian brand Pegasus Yachts since 2020. The Pegasus 50 is a 14.98 meter cruising yacht with a Mediterranean cockpit with 2 guest cabins and a draft of 2.30 meters.

What makes the Pegasus 50 hull #3 "Lifgun" special is that its regular diesel motor system has been replaced with two Oceanvolt ServoProp 15 at the factory making it a totally self-sufficient cruiser!

"The main advantage of the electric propulsion system in my point of view is that you can gain electricity when you sail. So it is actually the opposite of a traditional propulsion system, instead of consuming electricity you are actually generating it. My experience with sailing is that energy is key. As long as you have energy you have an autopilot which is working, a watermaker which is working and you can watch movies. That is civilisation, independence and freedom.
